Anticipation is building for the Aussie indie-rock sensation Middle Kids, as the newly-announced national tour coincides with the release of their much-anticipated third studio album, ‘Faith Crisis Pt 1‘. Set to kick off in May, the tour announcement adds an extra layer of excitement to the impending album release, scheduled for tomorrow, February 16th. Promising an in-depth exploration of belief, the album captures the essence of rupture and reconstruction across its 13 compelling tracks.

Co-produced by Tim Fitz and Jonathan Gilmore, ‘Faith Crisis Pt 1’ features collaborations with Dave Le’aupepe from the acclaimed Australian band Gang of Youths. The album is anticipated to navigate the intricacies of belief systems, presenting listeners with a sound & story that combines yearning, angst, pop brightness, and an unwavering belief in love.

Middle Kids first gained widespread recognition with their debut single, ‘Edge Of Town‘, in 2017, followed by their inaugural album, ‘Lost Friends’, in 2018. The band’s triumphs persisted with their previous album, ‘Today We’re The Greatest’, securing them the Best Rock Album title at the 2021 ARIA Awards.

Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, their success led to appearances on major US TV shows such as Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and The Late, Late Show with James Cordon. The band’s global appeal solidified with support shows alongside Bloc Party, Kings of Leon, War on Drugs, and Cold War Kids, as well as performances at esteemed festivals like The Governors Ball, Lollapalooza, and Osheaga Festival.

With the imminent tour and the launch of Faith Crisis Pt 1, Middle Kids is poised to deliver their distinctive blend of indie-rock to their ever-growing fanbase eagerly craving more. The nationwide tour is scheduled to kick off in Melbourne, weaving through Castlemaine, Perth, Adelaide, Hobart, Brisbane, and culminating in a spectacular finale at Enmore Theatre in Sydney.

Saturday 11 May – Theatre Royal, Castlemaine
Thursday 23 May – Astor Theatre, Perth
Saturday 25 May – The Gov, Adelaide
