After a two-year pause following her 2022 debut Love I Need, rising neo-soul artist Bailey Hyneman makes a powerful return with her latest project, AGAIN. The five-track EP, released this month, marks a new chapter for the Tennessee native, spotlighting her evolution as both a musician and storyteller.
With AGAIN, Hyneman steps into the spotlight with renewed clarity and creative conviction. The project showcases her soaring vocals and rich, soulful instrumentation, bringing warming synths and beats with live piano, bass and moments of dappled guitar to create tracks that are musically fulfilling whilst retaining an emotional sincerity.
Pulling threads from R&B, pop, and blues, the EP balances retro jazz and soul grooves with a fresh sense of clarity. Thematically, the EP captures a poignant coming-of-age narrative, rooted in love, loss, and self-discovery. “AGAIN is a heartfelt reflection of my transition from my past self to who I am now,” Hyneman said in a statement. “It explores the universal journey of love, loss, and personal growth experienced in your early twenties. It captures the emotional shifts and recurring cycles of change that shape us. Through these songs, I hope listeners find a connection in their own ongoing stories of transformation.”
Before stepping into the solo spotlight, Hyneman made a name for sharing stages with LeAnn Rimes and Kellye Cash, and touring internationally as a backing vocalist for Joss Stone. She also made television appearances alongside country-pop duo LOCASH, further cementing her versatility.
