Cherie Currie, the voice that defined a generation of rebellious rock ‘n’ roll, is heading Down Under for one last, unmissable tour in September 2025. This marks the former Runaways frontwoman’s first Australian return since her explosive debut tour in 2016—and, heartbreakingly for fans, it’s her final bow on Aussie soil.

As the trailblazing teenage voice of The Runaways, Currie delivered immortal anthems like “Cherry Bomb,” redefining rock for young women in the ‘70s. Described as the “lost daughter of Iggy Pop and Brigitte Bardot,” she smashed through barriers with a blend of raw talent and unapologetic swagger, inspiring generations of female rockers.

Beyond her Runaways legacy, Currie is a cultural icon. Her daring glam-punk style—corsets, platforms, and attitude for days—remains a pop-culture touchstone, while her acting chops saw her shine alongside Jodie Foster in the ‘80s cult classic Foxes. Currie’s storied career was immortalised in the biopic The Runaways, with Dakota Fanning capturing her fire and Kristen Stewart embodying Joan Jett.

For her farewell tour, Currie promises a setlist packed with Runaways classics, solo gems, and a few surprises to celebrate a career that changed rock history.
