Acclaimed producer, pianist, and keyboardist Craigology has released his latest instrumental EP, Just Imagine, a six-track collection that blends smooth jazz, Latin grooves, cinematic synths and world music elements into a vibrant and immersive experience. Designed to stir the imagination and soothe the spirit, the EP invites listeners to pause, reflect, and escape through sound.
Building on his 2020 EP Food for Thought, Craigology reimagines select earlier works while introducing updated arrangements and new sonic layers. The EP also includes his 2025 standout single, ‘La Vie Fantastique’, bringing fresh energy and global rhythms into the fold. The result is a cohesive, richly textured journey through emotion and atmosphere.
Opening the project is ‘Doing It’, a smooth jazz track that immediately sets a tranquil tone before the track takes you in varying directions: form the funk-infused attitude and playfulness of ‘Hot Smoothie’, to the Afrobeat-jazz fusion of ‘La Vie Fantastique’.
Brimming with rhythmic complexity and vibrant instrumentation, the EP is at times thoughtful and emotive and others joyful and colourful, bringing a bright and inventive journey through electro-jazz.
Talking about Just Imagine, Craigology adds: “Music, I believe, can serve an important purpose in someone’s life,” he says. “If instrumental music can help someone get through a difficult task or make a special occasion more memorable, then let the music play on.”
