News: DMA’s announce ‘Live at Brixton’ album and release exciting video for track ‘Lay Down (Live at Brixton)’

Sydney’s DMA’s made Backseat Mafia’s top 100 albums for 2020 for the brilliant album ‘Glow’ (review here) and following a spate of singles and a delayed opportunity to tour the album, they have just announced the release of a double album of their last proper live gig in Europe at Brixton O2 Centre in early 2020. Slated for release on Friday, 5 of March 2021, it is almost a year to the day of the spectacular gig that was streamed later last year.

The live album will be available on-line and as a special edition double LP in smoked pink (to match the colour of the flares released during the performance) through I Oh You Records in Australia. You can pre-order here.

The first release off this album is ‘Lay Down’ and you can see why this will be an exciting prospect. DMA’s have proven time and time again that they excel in the live arena: with anthemic songs that are just made for the stadium atmosphere. Off their debut album, this is a spine-tingling performance that captures the band’s euphoric choruses and rakish delivery:

If you caught the stream of this gig, you will know this will be a special release.

Following a sold out 24 date ‘Unplugged and Intimate’ tour in Sydney and Brisbane last year (plus a performance at the AFL Grand Final and a televised New Year’s Eve special from Sydney Harbour), DMA’S are set to make a long-awaited full band return to touring in 2021 with a headline UK tour, which includes a huge 10,000 capacity gig at London’s Alexandra Palace, followed by their largest Australian headline tour to date in Sep/Oct. Tickets for all shows on sale now from dmasdmas.com.
