Last year’s ‘Soft Power’ from Fazerdaze, released through Buttrfly/Virgin Music Group, was for me one of the albums of the year (see my review here). Fazerdaze spent a lot of the time since that release touring extensively across the US and Australia in support of Pond and Finneas and has only now had time to organise a formal launch for the album in Auckland, New Zealand on 22 March, with support from the formidable Office Dog and Elliott & Vincent.

Importantly, this is an independently organised gig put on by Fazerdaze and her label which is to be commended and should be supported. It is seriously looking to be an incredible event – Amelia Murray says:

I’m stoked to announce my ‘Soft Power’ album show at the Powerstation this March. If there was any Fazerdaze show to come and see, this is it! My full band and I will be performing ‘Soft Power’ in full, plus many of the old favourites. There will be exclusive merch, secret guests, and two of my favourite local acts, Office Dog and Elliot & Vincent, joining the lineup.

Bring your mum, your family, your friends, buy tickets as Christmas presents, and of course thank you endlessly for supporting independent live music and Fazerdaze.

This is an event not to be missed – you can get tickets here and organise your travel and flights now if you’re from out of town!

In the meantime, if you haven’t already, get your hands on the album itself.
