Texas metalcore band Fit For A King have announced the release of their eighth studio album, Lonely God, due out 1 August via Solid State Records. The new record was produced by Daniel Braunstein (Spiritbox) and recorded in Los Angeles. Ahead of Lonely God’s release, the band has shared the video for Witness the End, featuring Chris Motionless.

Alongside the album announcement, the band—Ryan Kirby (vocals), Bobby Lynge (guitar), Daniel Gailey (guitar), Trey Celaya (drums), and Ryan “Tuck” O’Leary (bass/vocals)—confirmed a North American headline tour beginning 30 October in Phoenix and wrapping 7 December in their hometown of Dallas.

Known for their evolving blend of metalcore, deathcore, and melodic elements, Fit For A King have steadily built their reputation since their 2011 debut Descendants. Releases such as The Path (2020) and The Hell We Create (2022) marked a continued progression in both sound and reach. The latter earned the band their third consecutive Top 15 debut on the Billboard Top Album Sales Chart and their fifth Top 3 entry on the Top Christian Albums Chart.

Tracks such as When Everything Means Nothing, Breaking the Mirror, and The Price of Agony have helped the band surpass nearly half a billion streams, bolstered by collaborations with August Burns Red, The Plot In You, and The Ghost Inside.

Fit For A King are also set to return to Australia in January 2026, supporting The Plot In You on a national tour with shows scheduled in Fremantle, Adelaide, Chelsea Heights, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane. Melbourne and Chelsea Heights have already sold out, with limited tickets remaining in other cities.

Lonely God marks the next chapter for a band that has remained consistent through more than a decade of change—rooted in shared experience, musical evolution, and an enduring live presence.
