Live Nation Australia is kicking off 2025 with the return of its acclaimed ONES TO WATCH series, backed by Vodafone, designed to uncover and celebrate the next wave of local music icons. The first edition hits Melbourne’s beloved Gasometer Hotel on 13 February, with Tait McGregor hosting an evening of performances by three rising artists: Central Coast’s emotive songwriter Fletcher Kent, Melbourne alt-rock powerhouse Lotte Gallagher, and Sydney’s dynamic pop sensation Salty.

Fletcher Kent has quickly become a name to know, with his mesmerizing vocals and heartfelt songwriting drawing attention both online and on major stages. His debut single ‘I’ll Be’ has already amassed a devoted following, and after signing with AWAL US, Kent’s upcoming debut album is set to solidify his place as a leading figure in Australia’s alt-pop landscape.

Meanwhile, Lotte Gallagher, known for her Phoebe Bridgers-meets-Angie McMahon vibe, continues to ride a wave of critical acclaim. After her breakout moment in the Triple J Unearthed High competition, Gallagher’s debut single ‘Adam’ became the #1 most-played track on triple j, propelling her to festivals like Laneway and NYE On The Hill. With a Liberation Records deal and an evolving sound, Gallagher’s future is looking brighter than ever.

Representing Sydney’s pop resurgence is Salty, an artist whose music channels the unapologetic swagger of Lily Allen and the playful energy of Kylie Minogue. Following the release of her debut EP The Other Side in November 2024, Salty’s star has been rising rapidly, with tracks like ‘Cut U Off’ and ‘See You In 3’ earning praise from tastemakers and major outlets like Vogue Australia and Nova. With over 2.2 million TikTok likes and a reputation for captivating performances, she’s one to keep firmly on your radar.

ONES TO WATCH has already played a pivotal role in shaping the Australian music scene since launching here in 2023, giving artists intimate stages to hone their craft and reach new audiences. Globally, the series has spotlighted major stars like Dua Lipa and Olivia Rodrigo early in their careers, while its Australian iteration has championed talents such as Carla Wehbe, Forest Claudette, Teenage Joans, and Saint Lane.
