Grammy-nominated and Platinum-selling British band Glass Animals have announced an Australian tour for this November and will be performing in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

“Australia. We love you so f***ing much. When we first came to tour over there, we only had like four songs. So we played them twice. And you forgave us. And then you gave us our first ever hottest 100 success with Gooey. And then you embraced Heat Waves so hard I tattooed the shape of Australia on my arse cheek. It is my only tattoo. I forget it’s there sometimes and it startles me when I get out of my bubble bath. But it makes me v happy. And I feel the same announcing this new Australian tour. The same happiness I feel when looking at my arse in the mirror. See you soon.”

Dave Bayley

This announcement drops just ahead of their eagerly awaited fourth studio album, ‘I Love You So F*ing Much,’ slated for release on 19 July 2024. ILYSFM is an expansive exploration of love in all its shapes and forms, drenched in retro-futuristic production that meanders through the “shapelessness of love.” Fans can get a taste of the album with the recently released singles ‘A Tear In Space (Airlock)’ and ‘Creatures in Heaven,’ which offer an early glimpse into the record’s tale of 10 intimate love stories, set against the backdrop of the vast universe.

Earlier this year, Glass Animals announced a mammoth 44 date tour, taking the four-piece band across North America, Europe and UK, kicking off in the USA next month, and concluding at London’s 20,000-capacity The O2 Arena on 7 November.

‘I Love You So F***ing Much’ is the follow-up to 2020’s Gold ARIA Accredited ‘Dreamland,’ which sold over 12M copies globally and gave life to ‘Heat Waves,’ the record-breaking song that became the biggest international hit from a British band in almost 30 years. It was the first song to reach #1 with a single writer and producer since Pharrell’s ‘Happy.’ ‘Heat Waves’ became the first song by a British band since the Spice Girls’ ‘Wannabe’ in 1995, to claim #1 for 5 consecutive weeks in the Billboard 100.
