Grammy-nominated and two-time Grammy-winning artist Lil Eddie is back with an exciting new release, Statue (Duets), a heartfelt tribute to his 2009 breakthrough hit, ‘Statue’. Known for his soulful vocals and evocative songwriting, Lil Eddie has reimagined this iconic track in multiple languages, delivering duets in Spanglish, Tagalish, and an acoustic version. This album reflects his signature blend of R&B and soul while embracing a diverse, global audience that has cherished his work for over a decade.

In Statue (Duets), Lil Eddie partners with an array of celebrated artists, including Jay R, Frankie J, and Aston Merrygold. Each brings a distinct voice and cultural perspective to the album, transforming the original song into a cross-continental conversation on love and admiration. With duet versions featuring a mix of languages and sounds, Lil Eddie gives fans something familiar yet refreshingly new, marking his deep connection with audiences worldwide. Alongside the vocal duets, he includes instrumental and a cappella tracks, encouraging fans to create their own interpretations through remixes and sing-alongs.

The inspiration behind Statue (Duets) stems from the song’s lasting success and popularity, especially in Asia. “I felt the importance of making a Statue duet album due to all the success I still have been receiving around the world and particularly Asia,” Lil Eddie shared. “I had to do a Tagalish version since the Philippines have championed my song so long, and why not with my brother Jay R? I thought of making more versions since I sing in Spanish and lived in the UK before. So, I invited my brothers who have equally great passion for music: Frankie J and Aston Merrygold. I am so honored to share this song with legends like Jay R, Frankie J, and Aston Merrygold.”

Born and raised in New York’s vibrant Spanish Harlem, Lil Eddie’s artistry extends beyond performing. With 12 Grammy nominations and two wins, he has become a respected songwriter and producer, working with major artists like Maluma, JoJo, Jessie J, Kylie Minogue, and Robbie Williams. His talent and dedication caught the attention of Simon Cowell, leading Lil Eddie to work as a vocal coach for X-Factor USA and La Banda, where he contributed to the formation of iconic groups like Fifth Harmony and CNCO. His expertise has also taken him to the judging panel on X-Factor Malta and X-Factor: The Band in the UK.

While his behind-the-scenes influence has shaped modern pop, Lil Eddie’s solo career is a testament to his personal impact. His original single ‘Statue’ has amassed over 85 million streams globally, and he has three number-one albums on the Japanese charts. With Statue (Duets), Lil Eddie honours his fans and reinforces the legacy of his music—a bond that has proven to transcend language and borders.
