News: Hilltop Hoods Prepare for their Biggest Tour Yet + Upcoming Album Announcement

Australia’s hip-hop heavyweights Hilltop Hoods are stepping back into the spotlight. Today, the Adelaide trio announced their Never Coming Home national arena tour, their first since 2022’s sold-out Show Business run. The tour lands in major Australian cities early next year, coinciding with the release of their anticipated eighth studio album, ‘Fall From the Light’, out August 1 via Island Records Australia.

After years of refining this latest album away from the stage, Hilltop are ready to show us what they’ve brewed. The Never Coming Home tour kicks off February 14 with each show set in massive arena venues.

“Over the last few years we stepped back from touring to complete our album. Now that it’s done we can’t wait to get back on the road. In a lot of ways we’re more energised than ever and have been putting together a show that we’re really proud of and excited to share.” says Suffa, one-third of the group alongside Pressure and DJ Debris.

And fans have a lot to look forward to. ‘Fall From the Light’ is a 12-track return, produced primarily by longtime collaborator One Above, with contributions from Sesta and Suffa himself. It features the Gold-certified ‘Laced Up’, fan-fave ‘Don’t Happy, Be Worry’, and the 2025 lead single ‘The Gift’ featuring Marlon. On deck for new material is ‘Never Coming Home’, the title-track of the tour, which drops this Friday and sees the Hoods link up with Aotearoa powerhouse SIX60. Elsewhere on the album, you’ll find vocals from Australian rising star Nyassa.

Hilltop have built a reputation as one of Australia’s most consistently electrifying and longstanding live acts. Armed with a fresh setlist blending new cuts and decade-defining hits, and a stadium-sized production built for maximum impact, Never Coming Home promises to be hugely special for any fans of Australian hip hop.

For the vinyl collectors: ‘Fall From the Light’ will be released on deluxe 180-gram coloured vinyl in limited-edition gatefold packaging, complete with obi-strip details. Cassette and CD versions will also be available, alongside exclusive merch via the band’s online store.

Tickets for the Never Coming Home national tour go on sale Thursday July 17 at 10am local time via hilltophoods.com. Fans subscribed to the Hoods’ mailing list can access presale tickets from Monday July 14 at 9am.
