Hull indie-rockers The Avenues return with the new single ‘Another Movie’. This eagerly awaited single is poised to catapult the band’s reputation to unprecedented heights, cementing their status as a formidable presence in the indie-rock genre.

The four-piece indie-rock sensation burst onto the scene in late 2018 and have since left an indelible mark with their electrifying performances and exceptional songwriting. Their journey includes sold-out shows in their hometown, a coveted spot on the main stage at the prestigious Humber Street Sesh Festival, and sharing stages with acclaimed acts like Spector, The K’s, and The Royston Club. The Avenues have captivated audiences across the country with their high-energy live performances, setting them firmly on the path to stardom. Their first two EPs signalled their arrival as serious ones-to-watch, and singles like ‘Every Morning’ and ‘Admit Nothing’ propelled their musical journey to new heights.

The band comprises the formidable talents of Tom Foston on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Ollie Brown on lead guitar and backing vocals, Joe Galloway on bass and backing vocals, and Kurt Jackson on drums and backing vocals.

The Avenues’ music is characterized by a fusion of indie-rock melodies that paint a vivid emotional landscape, simultaneously frantic and anxious, yet retaining a hint of summery warmth.

Tom, the band’s lead singer and songwriter, drew inspiration for their latest track, ‘Another Movie’, from the escapism found in lazy days spent with friends—an ephemeral escape from the relentless anxieties of everyday life. The emotional depth and authenticity of their songwriting shine through, forging a personal connection with their fans.

The creative process behind ‘Another Movie’ was a collaborative labor of love. After Tom initially penned the track, the band converged in the rehearsal room, infusing their collective energy and creativity into the composition before venturing into the studio of the talented recording engineer, Mickey Dale.

Mickey Dale, a master of his craft, was the driving force behind recording, mixing, and mastering this track, ensuring that it reached its full potential, delivering on their status as one to watch.
