Swedish alternative metal outfit IMMINENCE will return to Australia this October for their debut full headline tour, following a sold-out run of sideshows in 2024. Known for merging classical instrumentation with a contemporary metalcore edge, the five-piece will bring their distinctive sound—often dubbed violincore—to five cities across the country.

Kicking off in Brisbane on Friday 10 October, the tour will see the band take in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, giving fans their first opportunity to witness the complete IMMINENCE live production on Australian shores.

Formed over a decade ago, IMMINENCE have steadily built a reputation for their immersive and emotive performances, blending orchestral string arrangements—often led by vocalist and violinist Eddie Berg—with punishing riffs and searing vocals. Their catalogue has expanded across five acclaimed studio albums, culminating in 2024’s The Black and its 2025 extended edition The Return of The Black, which features re-mastered versions and high-profile guest collaborations.

The band also marked the 10th anniversary of their debut album I by re-recording the release as The Reclamation of I, highlighting the group’s commitment to artistic evolution and sonic reinvention. This drive has seen IMMINENCE perform on stages across the globe, from headline tours to major festival appearances including Hellfest, 2000trees, Louder Than Life and Aftershock. They have also supported acts such as Bring Me The Horizon, Architects and In Flames.

Australian fans first experienced IMMINENCE live during the 2024 Good Things Festival, where they earned critical acclaim for their sideshows. Wall of Sound described their performance as “heartfelt yet brutish,” praising the combination of “majestic screeches” and “raw intensity” as a unique hallmark of the group’s sound.

Their upcoming October tour promises to deliver that same intensity on a broader scale. With growing international momentum and a sound that refuses to adhere to genre boundaries, IMMINENCE’s return is set to be one of the standout events of Australia’s 2025 heavy music calendar.
