News: Kacey Musgraves to play two Sydney Opera House shows in November

Kacey Musgraves

Kacey Musgraves will return to Australia in November, marking her first visit since 2018. The eight-time Grammy Award-winning songwriter will perform two concerts in the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall on 19 and 20 November.

The shows will feature material from her 2024 album Deeper Well – a set of reflective, stripped-back songs – as well as music from across her career.

“I cannot wait to come back to Australia…it’s been way too long. Playing the iconic Sydney Opera House is a dream and I’m so excited to see my lovely Australian fans.” Kacey Musgraves

Musgraves grew up in Golden, Texas and emerged from Nashville’s songwriting circles before releasing her debut album Same Trailer Different Park in 2013, which earned her a Grammy Award for Best Country Album. Subsequent releases have seen her develop a sound that draws from country, folk, and pop influences. Golden Hour (2018) won Album of the Year at the Grammys, while 2021’s Star-Crossed introduced a more cinematic style.

Over the past decade, she has collaborated with Willie Nelson, Troye Sivan and Zach Bryan – the latter partnership producing the duet “I Remember Everything,” which became her first Billboard number one and has surpassed one billion streams. Musgraves remains the only artist to have won Grammys across all of the major Country Music categories.
