News: Kodiak Arcade & Cabin Fever Orchestra Unite For Uplifting New Single ‘No Reason To Change’

Kodiak Arcade and Cabin Fever Orchestra have released a powerful new single, ‘No Reason To Change’. This poignant pop track, enriched by an orchestral accompaniment, delves into the universal longing to be fully accepted, imperfections and all. The song delivers a heartfelt message: despite our flaws, we are worthy of unconditional love. With its rich, emotional depth, ‘No Reason To Change’ invites listeners to let go of defences, embrace vulnerability, and trust that openness can lead to genuine strength and connection.

The orchestral beauty behind the song comes from the mind of Graeme Cornies, a seasoned composer and the driving force behind Cabin Fever Orchestra. With over 18 years of experience in television soundtracks—spanning beloved shows like Paw Patrol and Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood—Cornies is no stranger to weaving intricate melodies that evoke emotion. ‘No Reason To Change’ brings together two pillars of his artistry: pop songwriting and orchestral composition. For Cornies, this song is the embodiment of his creative duality.

“Usually, my pop songs and orchestral works are so different from one another that they don’t sound alike in the slightest,” Cornies shared. “But this song represents the intersection of both of those sides of my musical voice, where a listener can hear how both projects would’ve naturally arisen from the same musical mind. I hear both projects distinctly, and I think this song somehow bridges those two distinct musical universes.”

The track’s recording journey began simply, with Cornies laying down guitar and vocals before it grew into a lush, full-bodied arrangement. Longtime collaborators Joshua Van Tassel (producer/composer) and Drew Jurecka (violin/viola) contributed their expertise, with Ben Trigg on cello and Bruno Migliari on double bass. Together, they brought Cornies’ vision to life. Mastered by Heather Kirby at Dreamlands, the final product is a polished, harmonious blend of pop sensibility and orchestral grandeur.

Van Tassel and Jurecka’s past work with Cabin Fever Orchestra has been instrumental in shaping Cornies’ sound, with Migliari’s work on previous tracks, like ‘Ever Presence’, adding an additional layer of depth to the new single. Their collective effort on ‘No Reason To Change’ showcases a synergy that merges pop’s accessibility with the depth of classical instrumentation, resulting in a truly unique listening experience.
