News: Leroybroughtflowers Unveils ‘Exit Scene’ EP

Returning with fervour, London-based artist leroybroughtflowers has just dropped the whimsical new EP, Exit Scene.

Marking his second release of the year, this six-track project builds on his momentum as a rising creative force, creating lo-fi bedroom-pop soundscapes which bring together elements of hip-hop and jazz-infused R&B through the wobbling modulation soaked guitar tones, tight drum beats and melancholic lyricism. Atmospheric, smooth, chilled and groove-laden, the tracks balance their swaying grooves with a danceability, infectious melodies and yet hold a sincere sense of emotion.

This EP is a personal postcard, capturing his journey from his hometown of Thessaloniki, Greece, to his current life in London and navigating the emotional highs and lows of leaving behind one’s roots in pursuit of ambition.

Reflecting on the EP’s thematic depth, leroybroughtflowers shares, “The EP embodies a ‘cart postale’ from London to Greece, answering the questions of how I’m holding up, what I have been doing, and what it means to leave your hometown to chase your dreams.” The EP, he explains, became both “an escape route” and “an emergency exit,” channeling the experiences and reflections that come with change, transition, and the close of summer—a season marked by energy, optimism, and fleeting moments.

From start to finish, Exit Scene immerses listeners in a narrative of self-discovery and transformation. Songs like the title track resonate with a sense of nostalgia and closure, while other cuts lean into escapism and the thrill of the unknown, capturing the tension between reflection and forward movement. “You don’t know where you’re going if you don’t know where you have been,” he says, quoting a guiding mantra that underpins the EP’s introspective journey.
