News: Liverpool Pop Riser Amelia Shares ‘Burn’

Steadily pulling together the pieces of her forthcoming debut EP, Amelia unveils the new single ‘Burn’.

The Liverpool rising star delivers an intensifying ode to all-consuming desire on ‘Burn’. ‘Burn’ leans fully into Amelia’s emotive songwriting, swelling synths, cinematic drums, and commercially angled writing style.

Rising from tender, reserved verses into vast, infectious choruses, ‘Burn’ is a slow-build that explodes with pop potency. Amelia’s vocal layers are rich and textured, yet still striking in their clarity and power. Lyrically, the track offers relatable, yet poetic storytelling to match the track’s melancholic tone.

“Burn is how it feels to be on the precipice of falling in love,” Amelia explains. “For me, the infatuation and desire that comes with a new relationship is akin to flame—not a slow burn but something that consumes you.”

Inspired by the likes of Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift, Amelia fuses storytelling with sticky pop hooks to craft something entirely her own. With her debut EP on the horizon, ‘Burn’ offers a first glimpse.
