With a dark gothic timbre that sounds like a mixture of The The, Pete Murphy and Editors, the Luxembourg artist ROME has announced a debut Australian tour to celebrate 20 years of music. The work of Jerome Reuter, ROME has been creating an impressive body of work culminating in the recent album ‘Civitas Solis’. Reuter says:

I am extremely thrilled to finally have the opportunity to tour Australia and meet ROME’s loyal supporters there after 20 years

Have a listen to the thrilling and stirring single La France Nouvelle:

You can catch ROME live on the following dates in Australia with links to tickets, brought to you by Noir Planet:

Lyrically inspired by world literature from Burroughs to Brecht, Celine to Cioran, from Hesse to Jünger; ROME’s detailed, well-researched, yet particularly accessible concept albums combine his interest in history, philosophy and the arts in a most compelling way. Through his unique vision he has managed to establish his very own musical niche informed by various European folk and Chanson traditions coupled with post punk and industrial influences.
