Rising singer-songwriter Margaux Regan has unveiled her second official single release, ‘Radio Silence’.

An emotive pop ballad, steeped in themes of unrequited love, jealousy, and uncertainty, builds from soft piano-led verses into a sweeping chorus and a climactic bridge. As comparable to Birdy as it is to CMAT once the full band comes in, the single is an exciting taste of Regan’s potential.

Layered harmonies, a warming, organic and crisp soundpallet , and careful production blend to create a track that brings moments of intimacy, and others of expansive brightness. Shifts in tempo, atmospheric ad-libs, and subtle sound effects give the song a dynamic quality, while Margaux vocal delivery carry its raw, emotional weight.

The song’s bridge lays bare the turmoil of unanswered questions: “I have a million questions that now you won’t answer / Like are you with her / You left me pacing in my own mind / Oh I bet you have someone you call.”

Margaux cites inspiration from Gracie Abrams’s I love you, I’m sorry, aiming to create something deeply relatable yet personal. “I wrote Radio Silence after being ghosted by what I thought was a situationship,” she explains. “I still didn’t have clarity, and I was confused where our connection stood. I think this happens too often in our generation, and I didn’t know any song talking about it that I could aggressively cry to.”

Born to French-Irish heritage, Margaux credits her mother’s love for artists like U2, The Cranberries, and Sinéad O’Connor with sparking her passion for music. At 18, she moved to London to study songwriting at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance, later securing a four-song development deal with Sony Soho.

With only two singles to her name, Radio Silence marks a confident step forward for Margaux Regan, highlighting what a strikingly complete sound she has despite only being at the very start of her career.
