Bean Magazine‘s new single ‘Share You’ is a gorgeous, hypnotic and dreamy release that indicates there is something special gestating in the north of Australia. With a repeated vocal motif that runs throughout most of the track and a muscular melodic bass, the vocals shimmer across the surface, infused with a delicate melancholia and indelible melody. A hypnotic fugue is created, and the overall effect is something that is heartbreakingly beautiful – with evocative lyrics filled with a delicate poetry:

Think I’ve had enough
Breaks my heart to stay
Turn my skin to dust
Soak the rest in paint
Punch you throw won’t land
Nor the break from shade
You hear what I do
And watch the things you say

There are elements of fellow Australians, Royel Otis and Tame Impala, but with their own special glow. Singer/guitarist Henry Creamer says of the track:

Telling someone how you truly feel is a daunting, heart on the line experience. Rejection nagging every moment in which you try and get your adoration across. This song is kinda the opposite. I don’t want to share my time with anyone else but I’ll also make it seem like I don’t and play it ‘cool’. ‘Share You’ came at a time where we all happened to find ourselves in tedious situations regarding our personal lives/relationships. As a band we’d spoken about offering some slower stuff to break up our lives and give the people out there a well earned rest. This tune echoes that sentiment and then some.

The accompanying video is a simple but compelling and enigmatic performance piece.

‘Share You’ is out now through Warner Music and available to download and stream here.

The track can be found on the band’s forthcoming EP ‘Folly’ due out on Friday, 6 June 2025 which you can presave here. Bean Magazine are: Henry Creamer (guitars and vocals), Gabrielle Beiers (drums) and Seb Baren (bass)
