News: METZ Announce ‘No Ceiling’ Video, LP Launch Shows, European Tour

Following hot on the heels of the critical acclaim that greeted the release of their fourth album ‘Atlas Vending’ on Friday, Toronto noise punk stalwarts METZ have dropped another new video from the album and announced a European tour in autumn 2021, as well as album launch shows at Toronto’s legendary Opera House this week.

‘No Ceiling’ is one of the album’s shortest, punchiest tracks, and should appeal to fans of the fast, uncomplicated punk songs on the band’s now eight-year-old eponymous debut album. Whilst the video is nowhere near as engrossing as the epic they delivered for ‘A Boat to Drown In’, it sees METZ maintain their status as makers of some of contemporary Canada’s most interesting and visually arresting music videos. Check it out below.

Meanwhile, the band have said they plan to mark the release of ‘Atlas Vending’ with two shows livestreamed from the Toronto Opera House, during which they will play songs from the album alongside some old favourites. The shows will air in North and South America at 6pm PT/9pm ET on October 15th, and on October 17th at 8pm BST/9pm CEST/8pm AEST for fans in the UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Asia. Tickets are available here. ‘Atlas Vending’ is available via Sub Pop here.

And as if that wasn’t enough, METZ hope to tour Europe next autumn. Dates are as follows.
