Backseat Mafia ska/punk favourites MMATSU fresh off the back of a hugely successful UK tour throughout the autumn with several sold out shows, have announced their ANGRY SIDE TOUR for April and May 2024.

With their dynamic sound and candid lyrics, the band delves into themes like loss, betrayal, anxiety, heartbreak, environmental concerns and political unrest, all while exuding the punk attitude and the prowess that sets them apart.

Beyond their music, the band’s commitment to sustainability and charity is always evident, prioritising eco-friendly merchandise and raising funds for charitable causes through limited edition artwork and clothing sales. With their dedication to making a positive impact in the music industry, MMATSU continue to be a vital voice in the burgeoning cross-genre punk scene.

Millie Manders and The Shutup are Millie Manders on vocals, guitar and alto sax; Joe Quigley on guitar; Georgina Boreham on bass; and Pete Wright on drums and samples.

PLEASE NOTE – 11th Apr 2024 – Due to the closure of Moles Club in Bath, this date has now been moved to Cardiff.

Known for their ferociously joyous live shows and championed by the likes of the BBC Radio 1 Rock Show, BBC Introducing, Radio X and Vive Le Rock, the band is gearing up for their sophomore album, cited for release in 2024. The eagerly awaited album will follow the recently released single Shut Your Mouth

Powerhouse lead vocalist Millie says of the forthcoming Angry Side single from the album: “Angry Side is about teenage angst, and I am so excited to bring that energy with us to stages around the UK.”

The band are currently holed up in a studio in Wiltshire putting the finishing touches to the follow up to 2020’s highly acclaimed debut Telling Truths, Breaking Ties.

Fans won’t have to wait until April to hear some of these new songs live as the band head out for a series of shows as part of the Slam Dunk Winter Jam Tour with Zebrahead, Teenage Bottle Rocket, and [Spunge] in January 2024. NB: Millie is not playing the Manchester date on 19th Jan 2024. Tickets are available now.
