News: Naud Releases New Album ‘Un Gars Bian’

After a ten-year journey through soundscapes and self-discovery, French artist Naud has landed with Un Gars Bian, a bold and heartfelt album that feels both like a homecoming and a new beginning. Drawing from years of musical experimentation, this project weaves together alternative pop, electro, funk, and the unmistakable spirit of Marseille — the chaotic, sun-soaked port city he now calls home.

At the heart of Un Gars Bian is a joyful messiness, an honest embrace of contradictions. The album’s lead single, ‘Déjà Vu’, is a perfect example. A bittersweet ballad built around a turbulent love affair that drifted across European borders, the track balances experimental textures with pure vocal pop clarity. It’s dreamy yet grounded, tender yet biting — an ideal overture to an album that refuses to be pinned down by genre or geography.

From soulful indie slow burns to kinetic funk-driven anthems, Un Gars Bian feels like flipping through a record collection where nothing clashes — instead, everything converses. Naud doesn’t just blur the lines between styles and languages; he erases them, creating a sound that feels distinctly his own yet universally resonant.

The title itself is a wink and a warm hug — Un Gars Bian being a play on ‘gabian’ (Marseille slang for seagull) and ‘un gars bien'(a “good guy” in French). It captures the album’s essence: a flighty spirit rooted in kindness, simplicity, and an almost radical sincerity. There’s a clear sense that Naud isn’t just making music — he’s inviting listeners into a way of life.

This ethos doesn’t stop at the music. Naud is also launching a line of t-shirts under the Un Gars Bian brand, merging fashion with philosophy. To be a “gars bian” is to live lightly, creatively, and with compassion — values echoed in every bass line, lyric, and beat of the album.

With Un Gars Bian, Naud invites us into his world — one where chaos is welcome, rules are flexible, and music is a tool for connection. After a decade of exploration, he’s found his sound, his city, and perhaps most importantly, his soul.
