London-based psychedelic soul-rockers Near Death Experience (NDX) are set to close out an already stellar year with the release of their electrifying new single, ‘Present’.
A thrilling blend of funk, pop, soul, and disco, ‘Present’ dazzles with insatiable percussion, sticky melodies, and shimmering psychedelic touches. The track’s defiant energy is matched by its soulful core, exemplified by Ian Whiteling’s powerhouse vocals and the band’s dynamic instrumentation. According to the group, ‘Present’ is a call to action: “In an increasingly unstable world, the hook ‘There’s no time like the present’ has never been more relevant,” they explain. “Whether it’s chasing your dreams, saving the planet, or simply telling someone you love them—stop dithering and just goddamn do it!”
Formed in 2016, NDX have become a force of nature in the West London music scene, championing raw authenticity with their 60s and 70s-inspired sound. Their debut album in 2019 set the stage for a string of critically acclaimed singles and appearances at major festivals, including Glastonbury.
