On February 16th, 2018 Nine Mile Records will release three classic albums from Scott Kannberg’s projects Spiral Stairs and Preston School of Industry.

Preston School of Industry’s 2001 release All This Sounds Gas, Preston School Of Industy’s 2004 release Monsoon, and Spiral Stairs’ 2009 release The Real Feel with extra tracks, B-Sides, and unreleased BBC Live Sessions.

Spiral Stairs plays live February 19, 2018 with Parquet Courts at the Gundlach Bundschu Winery in Sonoma, CA and February 22, 2018 at the Noise Pop Festival in San Francisco, CA.

Spiral Stairs and his band toured the world in 2017 (USA, UK, Europe, New Zealand and Australia) in support of his most recent album, Doris and the Daggers. Today he also shares a new remix from Doris track “No Comparison” by his pals Kelley Stoltz and Allyson Baker.

“I love when bands have extra songs. B-sides is not really the correct term. Extra songs are just songs that didn’t really fit the concept of a 9-12 track album. Maybe because of theme or quality, but mostly because of time issues. So, what to do with the extras. They get sidelined to the b-side of singles, comps, or sometimes never released. I remember collecting all the REM singles just to hear the extras. The Stranglers had amazing extras. Roxy Music not so much. For me, beside the extra songs that didn’t make the records, it was a chance to have fun with experiments in sound. I was doing or covering some of my favorite songs like The Clean’s “Anything Could Happen” or “10 Grains” by De Artsen. I hope you enjoy.
