News: Rising Pop-Rocker Gia Lily Shines On ‘I’d Do It For You’

Gia Lily shines on the punchy pop rock banger ‘I’d Do It For You’.

Bringing thick distorted guitar tones and a striking sense of energy and urgency, the track is a prime example of Lily’s dark pop-rock sound. Opening by building anticipation through it’s bouncing guitar riff, the track burst into life as punching drums and deep bass open the soundscape out into a frenzy of noise. Dipping back down to just guitar into the verse, Lily’s sultry, silky and breathy vocal delivery enters as she guides the track forward through radiant melodies.

As the track progresses, it grows through a radiant pre-chorus to the anthemic chorus and settling into a v-c-v-c structure and closing with an explosive, half-time climax.

Released fresh off of a successful support slot with New Rules and an acting feature in the Apple TV and Amazon Prime film Light, Gia is now unleashing her latest musical creation. Since making her debut in 2021, Gia has garnered widespread acclaim from tastemakers and earned radio support from Radio 1’s Future Pop with Mollie King as well as landing a series of Spotify’s editorial playlists and playing packed out live shows.

Talking about the single, Gia explains, ”I wrote ‘I’d Do It For You’ on my bedroom floor with my partner and producer, Callum Rich, at midnight one night earlier this year. I wanted to write something fun, and not too serious. I’m someone who gets in bad habits of deeping pretty much every emotion I feel (which as a songwriter is great but day-to-day life, it can be exhausting) and I felt like I needed a song in my life where I wasn’t ‘deeping’ anything too much, rather just going with the flow. That’s what this song represents to me. Acting in the moment with no-strings attached, and certainly not deeping life. I feel like all my upcoming music is landing under the vibe of ‘delusional lover-girl’, and I’m so ready for it.”
