News: Royel Otis are ‘Coming Home’, Treating Fans to One-Off Eora/Sydney Show Ahead of Festival Season

Earlier this year, Royel Otis were riding the high of their sold-out Liberty Hall show, basking in the glow of their debut album Pratts & Pain. That night in February, with 1,200 fans packed into the intimate Eora/Sydney venue, felt like a breakthrough, proof that the duo’s jangly guitars, breezy hooks, and wholesome charm had struck a chord.

Fast forward to now, and that Liberty Hall show feels like a modest starting line. Royel Otis didn’t just take off this year; they skyrocketed. From going viral with their cheeky Like A Version cover of Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s ‘Murder on the Dancefloor’, to touring multitudes of sold-out venues across the world, to scooping up an impressive four ARIA Awards last week, the duo have become the sort of act you can’t help but root for.

And now, in the kind of full-circle moment that feels almost scripted, Roy and Otis are back in Eora/Sydney, stepping onto the stage at the iconic Hordern Pavilion on December 21 (pre-sale available from tomorrow 3PM). This isn’t just another show for them, it’s a victory lap in front of thousands of fans, a testament to how far they’ve come in less than a year. Their knack for crafting relatable, sun-soaked anthems has resonated with so many, and this homecoming show feels like a “thank you” to the city where it all started.

After the Hordern Pavilion, the duo are set to hit the festival circuit, performing at some of the country’s biggest events, including Lost Paradise, Beyond the Valley, and Wildlands. It’s the perfect way to cap off a year that’s been nothing short of meteoric.
