Australian indie rock torchbearers Slowly Slowly are turning the page to a new chapter with their fifth studio album, Forgiving Spree, slated for release on Friday, January 24, 2025. In tandem with the album’s arrival, the band has unveiled plans for their Forgiving Spree Australian headline tour, set to sweep through Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne next April.

“It’s been a while between drinks—we couldn’t be more ecstatic to announce this homecoming tour. These are some serious rooms and we couldn’t think of a better way to drop punt our new album ‘Forgiving Spree’ off into the stratosphere. We are intent on making these shows feel both like huge spectacles, but also intensely intimate – join us for our biggest headlines to date, across our beloved home country after almost 18 months of time away. We can’t wait to see you.” – Slowly Slowly

Since forming in 2015, Slowly Slowly has built a reputation for breaking boundaries and crafting emotionally rich, genre-blurring indie rock. From the understated beauty of Chamomile (2016) to the high-octane introspection of St Leonards (2018), the catharsis of Race Car Blues (2020), and the polished vulnerability of Daisy Chain (2022), the Melbourne quartet has continued to evolve without losing their magnetic mix of melancholia and pop flair.

Their upcoming album, Forgiving Spree (out 24 January 2025), promises to be their boldest offering yet, drawing inspiration from acts like The Killers, Bruce Springsteen, and John Farnham, while channeling the emotional heft of Gang of Youths and Stand Atlantic.

Having reached #5 on the ARIA Albums Charts, received nominations for prestigious awards (AIR, APRA, triple j’s J Awards), and toured alongside Amy Shark, Ocean Alley, and Stand Atlantic, Slowly Slowly has solidified their place as one of Australia’s most vital bands.

Joining Slowly Slowly on their Forgiving Spree tour are two powerhouse acts bringing their own distinctive flair to the stage.

American pop-punk duo Honey Revenge burst onto the scene in 2021 with their breakout single “Miss Me,” pairing infectious hooks with a vibrant aesthetic. Influenced by You Me At Six, Demi Lovato, and the punchier edges of Paramore and Katy Perry, the duo’s debut album Retrovision (2023) cemented their reputation for kaleidoscopic charisma. Having toured with The Used, Loveless, and Stand Atlantic, Honey Revenge will bring their dynamic pop-punk sound to Slowly Slowly’s Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne dates.

Philadelphia rockers Grayscale will accompany Slowly Slowly across all five tour stops, delivering their signature blend of alt-rock, punk, and pop. Known for seamlessly marrying anthemic hooks with raw vulnerability, Grayscale turns life’s highs and lows into deeply resonant music. Their upcoming album The Hart, set for release on 31 January 2025, promises another chapter of creative authenticity.
