Naarm/Melbourne post-punk outfit The Maggie Pills have announced their second full-length album, Hearts Enduring Lingering Loss, due for release on Friday 22 August via Cheersquad Records & Tapes.

The announcement arrives alongside the release of new single ‘Goths Of Disgrace’—a slow-burning, distortion-laced track that leans into the band’s darker influences. Guitar lines snake beneath Delfi Sorondo’s unflinching vocal, creating a sense of unease that never overwhelms the track’s melodic core. Drawing from goth, punk, and post-punk traditions, the song explores self-sabotage, intimacy and distance in equal measure.

The Maggie Pills will mark the single’s release with a hometown show at Shotkickers on Friday 25 July, ahead of a series of headline performances at key Naarm/Melbourne venues later this year including Northcote Social Club, The Old Bar, The Night Cat, and Brunswick Ballroom.

Formed in 2019 by Argentinian frontwoman Delfi Sorondo and Venezuelan drummer Mario Perez, The Maggie Pills emerged from Melbourne’s DIY scene with a sound shaped by immigrant experience, resistance and resolve. Their live shows have seen them share stages with acts such as Black Lips, Shihad, Cable Ties, The Mark Of Cain and Private Function, while previous singles have earned support from triple j, 3RRR, PBS, and community radio across the country.

Their debut album laid the foundation; Hearts Enduring Lingering Loss signals a band deepening their vision while continuing to carve out space in Australia’s evolving punk underground.
