Love Police have announced the return of indie darlings and Grammy Award winning outfit Wilco to Australia for their first tour Down Under in more than ten years.

“How is it possible that it’s been over 10 years since Wilco was last down under?! Mind-blowing. So we’re beyond thrilled to be able to say we’re coming back. We love Australia and can’t wait!”

Jeff Tweedy

Wilco is an American alternative rock band formed in Chicago, Illinois, in 1994. The band’s music blends various genres, including rock, folk, country, and experimental sounds. Founding member Jeff Tweedy and Uncle Tupelo bandmate John Stirratt are joined by Nels Cline, Pat Sansone, Glenn Kotche and Mikael Jorgensen, who together as Wilco have gone from strength to strength and are celebrated for their songwriting, musicianship, and artistic growth.

The band won a Grammy Award in 2005 for Best Alternative Music Album – ‘A Ghost Is Born’ – and have been nominated seven times over the years across various genres including Best Folk, Best Rock, Best Americana.

Joining Wilco on their Australian tour is Australian folk singer Leah Senior, supporting all shows except Sydney Opera House.
