Premiere: MOLTENO Shares Stunning New Video For ‘Moonlight’

Having made a name for her unique Dream-Pop stylings, London based MOLTENO is back with the stunning new video for ‘Moonlight’.

An entrancing Daisy Moseley directed video which perfectly captures the etherial, otherworldly nature of the track, the hypnotic visual serves to give a fitting representation of the lucid dream which is described within the tracks lyrics. The glowing full moon which is prevalent throughout the video is like a guiding light for the videos cast, a shining beacon of beauty which is celebrated through art.

Enhancing the pagan, mystical side of the track and of MOLTENO’s identity as an artist, a ritualistic ceremony in the latter part of the video adds an air to the magical, atmospheric intensity within the music.

Talking about the video MOLTENO explains: “Inspired by Nicolas Winding Refn’s ‘Drive’ mixed with Ken Russell’s ‘The Devils’, the video for Moonlight explores the feminine and tarot symbolism of the moon. It follows me on a drive in my 90s Peugeot 205 CJ under the full moon, encountering surreal lucid scenes, eventually arriving at a kitsch moon ceremony.

The cast and crew were mostly made up of friends and family that grew up in the same valley as me which made filming it there extra special. Working with Daisy Moseley on another video was a joy and I love the way we’re visualising my music together, there’s a synergy.”

Having already gained support across a whole host of taste maker press with ‘Moonlight’, the new visuals is set to propel MOLTENO further towards the widespread acclaim she deserves.
