21 year old Cardiff producer / songwriter Omar Addis releases his new single ‘Easy’ on 29th June, and we’re delighted to premiere it right here on Backseat Mafia this morning.
Of the track, Omar told us “Easy is a tune that I have been working on for almost two years now. It started off sounding similar to “Owner of a Lonely Heart” by Yes, but it evolved changing in sound and style over time. The lyrics talk about the people that go in and out of your life, and reflecting on how current situations could have been different. It’s great to finally release it after all the time that I’ve put into it, and I hope that shows when you listen to it.”
Mixing it up between this laid back electro and indie sound, Easy is this rather lovely, sprawling thing, with woozy chords and a melodies that wash over you, decorated with backing harmonies and just a little choppy funk, in the way the likes of Unknown Mortal Orchestra seduce you. And seducing it is….
