We have the pleasure once again of Premiering the new video of the new Simeon Davis Group track The Diver taken from the groups forthcoming album ‘Of Narratives & Nocturnes’.
Regarding the track the group comments;:
“Like all the compositions on this album, “The Diver” is completely through-composed. Combining elements of jazz, neo-soul, classical form, this piece traces the true story of a marine archaeologist on a dive off the coast of Malta.”
The semi-conscious wanderings of a trumpet and sax over a hypnotic guitar riff introduce a track that has a wonderful way of floating through the various instruments of the group. From the twinkling addictive melody on the keyboard to some superb bass that is demanding and forceful to right out funky. Each listen brings something new to your ears. An absolute treat to music fans.
