San Franciscan six piece TAXES release their new single, Lost at Sea, backed by Your Other Left his coming Friday (November 20th) and we’re delighted to premiere remixes of both tracks by Chris Crawford from clintongore.
Lost at Sea retains its form as rather a lovely little pop song that makes your heart ache a little bit, but it’s given a little extra impetus with these tumbling synths and echoey electronics, as it meanders along its sunny way steered by this rather minimal percussion. Your Other Left follows on in similar fashion, layers of synths bubble away, while the electronics sweep and glitter overhead. what’s clear from both is that TAXES write some of the loveliest melodies around. And you can dress that up however you like.
