Rock N Roll Circus announce Wunderhorse as Saturday headliner in Sheffield

Rock N Roll Circus has landed another heavy-hitter for its 2026 Sheffield edition, confirming Wunderhorse as Saturday night headliners in what feels like a properly big moment for both band and festival. It’s one of just two outdoor UK shows the band will play all year, and the only one outside London. It makes Don Valley Bowl the epicentre for Wunderhorse’s ever-swelling momentum next August.

Completing a formidable top line alongside The Streets and Richard Ashcroft, this show reinforces Rock N Roll Circus’ knack for blending cultural heavyweights with artists very much in their imperial phase. Led by Jacob Slater, Wunderhorse have built their reputation the hard way: relentless touring, ferocious live shows and songwriting that hits with bruised, emotional clarity. Their second album Midas, recorded at Pachyderm Studio and produced by Craig Silvey, captured that raw electricity and marked the band out as generational contenders, a status only strengthened by a Rolling Stone UK Group Award win in 2025.

Saturday’s bill is stacked. Baxter Dury bringing his razor-sharp spoken word cool, joined by Mercury Prize winners English Teacher and the relentless Fat Dog. Wrapped inside Rock N Roll Circus’ immersive big-top spectacle, it all adds up to a statement night.

Rock N Roll Circus Sheffield returns to Don Valley Bowl from Friday 28 to Sunday 30 August 2026.
