Manchester’s blues enthused garage rockers Hey Bulldog today announce new single ‘Al Lupo’, to be released through Doing it to Death Records and BSM is proud to present you with the exclusive first online listen.
On return from the bands’ performances in Italy last summer, the song came from the very return jam back in the rehearsal room. The title ‘Al Lupo’ coming from the Italian good luck idiom ‘In Bocca Al Lupo’, which translates as ‘Into the mouth of the wolf’. It was mixed by EMI producer Boe Weaver (Archie Bronson Outfit, Pete Molinari, Wolf People, Whyte Horses).
‘Al Lupo’ starts with feedback laden riffs and a buoyant drum beat before reverberating locals with thought evoking lyrics dominate, all underpinned by a throbbing bass line.
Hey Bulldog have been going from strength to strength, acquiring a cult following on the Manchester live circuit; it is tracks like this that will propel them to national, if not international attention.
