Ahead of Famous Dex’s debut album, Dex Meets Dexter, available for fans this Spring, he’s released new visuals for his latest single ‘Pick it Up’, which features hip-hop superstar A$AP Rocky. The Chicago rapper burst onto the scene in 2015, quickly coming to the attention of A$AP Ferg, appearing on two records from his latest mixtape, Still Striving. In turn, Dex then met A$AP Mob frontman Rocky and the collaboration came about.
The record itself is a dancefloor filler, switching between this smooth soulful chorus and this darker, trappier (is that a word?) verse, with both rappers bringing their a-game and sprinkling their magic over it. The video is set in your typical manic flea market solely inhabited by beautiful women and bootleg fashions. No, me neither, but hang around with these boys and thats where it gets you.
