Liela Moss of The Duke Spirit has announced that her new solo album, Who The Power, will be released on August 7th via Bella Union, and to celebrate she’s released a new video for lead track Atoms At Me, directed and filmed by her neighbour and IYEARA singer Paul O’Keeffe.
There’s a certain angst and disquiet about ‘Atoms At Me’ as it bubbles away at the start, this wiry guitar and bass seemingly holding onto each chord for as long as possible, and it’s only when it reaches the chorus and the addition of little synth lines, marimba and harmonies on the vocal that things open out and sound more spacious. The release is like a rush, and leaves you wanting more. Much more.
