Lowpines, aka West London singer and producer Oli Deakin is preparing to release his first full-length Lowpines record In Silver Halides will be released on Adventure Club Records on Feb 9th 2018. Written in rural England throughout the winter and recorded in a greenhouse the following spring in unseasonably hot weather, songs that started out filled with images of frozen landscapes and isolation, melted into something else in the heat and are subtely scarred with the ambient noises of the surrounding countryside after the doors of the studio (greenhouse) were thrown open.
Taken from the album, We Come Right is a haunting, melancholy ballad. It’s taught and heartbreaking stuff, the strings heightening the sense of sadness that prevails over the record, with splashes of flute and piano lines adding to the emotion.
