Taken from their forthcoming self-titled debut album on Rocket Recordings, psych-krautrock supergroup Mien have released a new video for the single Black Habit. The band, comprised of The Black Angel’s Alex Maas, The Horror’s Tom Furse, Elephant Stone’s Rishi Dhir and The Earlies’ John-Mark Lapham, are due to make their live debut at the Levitation Fest in Austin, Texas.
Black Habit is a dark and deep slice of modern psych – detailed by these mesmerising, hypnotic basslines, and squealing wig out guitar lines. Its also organ heavy, and the understated, alsmost spoken lyrics add to druggesd out feeling. Check out the suitably trippy accompanying video. It’s brilliant stuff.
