Shatner have released new song ‘Heterosapien’, taken from the forthcoming album ‘Enlightenmental’. To coincide with this they have also announced their pledge campaign to release said album upon the world.
Shatner have been recently described as “somewhere between The Clash and The B52s”. Formed in Yorkshire in the early 00’s, this will be their fourth album, continuing their tradition of guitar pop with a sci-fi twist.
‘Heterosapien’ feels like a jazz rock fusion jam at first, but gives way to a catchy tongue in cheek chorus with a strong Brit Pop feel and the kind of production that is familiar with that era.
