The debut album from Sports Team has got us pretty excited, and ahead of its release on 19th June via Island Records, they’ve shared a new single and video in the shape of ‘Going Soft’, which has got us, frankly, delirious.
If you like your indie rock scuffed up and scuzzy, but with the sort of melodies that bloody your nose, and then kiss it better, then Going Soft is for you. It’s no wonder they’ve got people so hot under the collar.
Of the accompanying video, Alex Rice from the band says ”It’s a short history of the last two years really, ending with the last show before all this happened at our local, The Nags Head. Hopefully the whole thing is a reminder of how good live music can be, that if you’re a kid who should be going to their first show about now then live music isn’t an acoustic cover on IG Live, it’s something really special.”
