You probably already know Bonobo‘s music, and even if not, you will have heard it as a soundtrack to our lives for 15 years, as he remains one of the go-to names for atmosphere in film, games, tv and adverts. “No Reason” is a new track, and taster from the new album Migration (on Ninja Tune), which came out on January 13th. It has been preceded by the 2 previous singles Kerala and Break Apart
The track seems particularly appropriate for 2017 – a creeping foreboding builds, while haunting vocals from Nick Murphy swoop in and over the top, and also around the edges. The clicks and bleeps keep coming, and the pace increases, building a sense of unease, and despite the overt positivity of the lyrics, you may not believe the message of the repeated refrain “We’ll get the time of our lives now”.
There’s a European tour throughout February, but it’s sold out already!
