Northern Beaches indie-rockers Dear Seattle are back with a new single, ‘Counting Hours.’ This track sees the quartet continuing their evolution, blending heartfelt introspection with sun-drenched melodies and singalong choruses. It’s a shimmering slice of catharsis that’s as raw as it is rousing, building anticipation for their third studio album, TOY, set to drop in January 2025.

Following previous singles Evergreen, idc, Nothing’s Stopping Me Now, Sungazer, and Say What You Want, Counting Hours strikes a delicate balance between vulnerability and resilience. The track offers a heartfelt ode to self-discovery and emotional reckoning, wrapped in the anthemic energy fans have come to adore.

Love is about the harsh truths and the confrontation of your own shortcomings. We all look for the person we can lean on, who is there to support us through thick and thin, but if we can’t stand on our own the whole thing simply falls apart. If you don’t work on loving yourself, and confronting your own self-worth, there’s no way you’ll find the love you’ve been dreaming of. Instead, you’ll end up bitter and jaded about the whole process, thinking the world and everyone in it is against you. But they’re not. It’s only you. And you only accept the love you think you deserve – Brae Fisher (vocals)

Dear Seattle are hitting the road for a whirlwind Album Launch Party Tour, giving fans an exclusive chance to experience their upcoming album TOY in the kind of up-close-and-personal settings most bands only dream of. The tour kicked off in Hobart and then features shows in Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, and the Sunshine Coast throughout December, with a January leg taking them to Canberra, Wollongong, Sydney, and Newcastle.
