South African alt-rock heavyweights Indie Dog are back, snarling and swinging with their latest single, ‘Muffin Top’—a grunge-soaked gut punch that doesn’t just demand attention, it grabs you by the collar and shakes you awake.

“This track is pure, unfiltered Indie Dog. We wanted to create something that hits hard, sticks in your head, and makes you move. That riff just took on a life of its own, and we built the whole song around it.” – frontman Seb Howarth.

Anchored by a relentless, pulse-racing guitar riff, ‘Muffin Top’ is pure adrenaline—fuzzed-out, ferocious, and impossible to ignore. It’s the sound of a band refusing to play it safe, diving headfirst into chaotic, sweat-soaked rock ‘n’ roll.

The video for ‘Muffin Top’ is a full-throttle exorcism. Indie Dog smash, tear, and obliterate everything in sight inside a rage room, a fitting counterpart to the song’s unrelenting, fire-breathing energy. The walls shake. Glass shatters. The camera lingers just long enough to catch the wreckage, then cuts away before the dust can settle.

That massive, chugging riff? It’s got the kind of grit that would make Tom Morello crack a grin. There’s no subtlety here—just a band in full command, playing like the world’s about to end and they’ve got the last song left to burn it all down. This is Indie Dog at their most feral, their most vital, their most alive.

Muffin Top was recorded at KVD Studios, and mixed and mastered by Clint Watts.
