Track: Lambrini Girls unleash ferocious new single ‘Cult of Celebrity’

There’s no easing into a Lambrini Girls track. It doesn’t arrive, it detonates. Their new single ‘Cult of Celebrity’ kicks the door clean off its hinges within seconds, all serrated guitar and spit-fire delivery, a song that feels less like commentary and more like confrontation.

The Brighton duo, made up of Phoebe Lunny and Selin Macieira, have built their reputation on exactly this kind of volatility. Since the release of their debut album Who Let The Dogs Out in 2025, a record that tore through the underground before spilling into wider consciousness, Lambrini Girls have operated with a sense of urgency that refuses to be diluted. ‘Cult of Celebrity’ continues that trajectory, a thrashing, unfiltered blast that takes aim at power, image and the machinery that props them up.

Stream ‘Cult of Celebrity’ HERE.

Accompanied by a video directed by Harv Frost, the track leans into the band’s instinct for provocation, pairing its lyrical bite with visuals that push the unease further. It’s part satire, part scorched-earth rant, delivered with the kind of barbed humour that has become their signature.

Live, that energy translates into something closer to controlled chaos. Backseat Mafia caught Lambrini Girls in Sydney earlier this year, in what some have described as the cultural event of the year, a set that blurred the line between gig and eruption, leaving little doubt as to why they’ve become one of the most talked-about live acts to emerge from the UK in recent memory.

That momentum shows no sign of slowing. The band are set to take their live show across a global festival circuit that reads like a map of modern alternative culture, including Coachella, Bonnaroo, Primavera Sound and Way Out West, alongside a run of dates that will only continue to amplify their reach.

For a band that thrives on friction, ‘Cult of Celebrity’ feels like both a continuation and an escalation. Not a pivot, not a reinvention, but a tightening of focus. The volume stays high. The target sharpens.

Don’t miss the Lambrini Girls on tour – tickets HERE.
