Morrissey returns with his first album of original music since 2017 with Low in Highschool. The third single to be taken off his new album I Am Not A Dog On A Chain is a dreamy orchestral pop delight with lyrics that only Morrissey can write.
Opening the song singing “Congratulations – you have survived, Congratulations – you’re still alive!” over synths and drums before the morrisey-esque jangle of guitar joins in soon followed by strings and horns.
A departure from his last few albums and a return to his earlier days sitting along side the likes of Suedehead and Everyday Is Like Sunday. Its easy recognisable as no one really can be Morrissey except Morrissey.
