With the recent announcement of their 15th studio album, ‘A Mortal Binding’, which is set to be released on the 19th of April. British death-doom legends, My Dying Bride, have shared the second single ‘The 2nd of Three Bells’ along with a richly gothic video directed by Daniel Gray.
My Dying Bride’s Andrew Craighan commented:
“The 2nd of three Bells see the band in a more musical performance role juxtaposed with artistic metaphor of the struggles between the death knell itself and the lust for life’s brief joys.”
The band hit you with everything from gothic ballad sadness to full on metal shenanigans. Where dark atmospherics begin from out of the gloom comes a full on black aural assault led by Aaron Stainthorpe’s vocal gymnastics, Andrew Craighan and Neil Blanchett’s brooding guitars backed by Dan Mullins’s earthly pounding. Wait until the full band join in and you may find yourself listening to the perfect track.
