Aussie Indie-folk sensations The Dreggs are making waves once again, soaring to new heights with their latest single ‘Peeps with the Goods’ from their eagerly awaited upcoming album ‘Caught In A Reverie’, slated for release next Friday on April 26 (stay tuned for a review!). In celebration, the boys are embarking on a massive 16-date European tour before returning home for a national album tour in June.

Originating from the sunny shores of the Sunshine Coast, the duo comprising Paddy Mccrae and Zane Harris is ready to captivate both seasoned fans and newcomers alike with their debut full-length album. ‘Caught In A Reverie’ promises twelve tracks that are as intimate as they are engaging, including hits like ‘Take A Little Time’, ‘Places’, and the latest gem, ‘Peeps with the Goods’.

Written and recorded in collaboration with Aussie indie icon Matt Corby, Paddy Macrae explains, “Matt Corby was a huge influence for this track. We were given the opportunity to write and record with Corby and this song is the result of that collaboration. The song is about the push and pull a lot of independent artists have to confront within the music industry. It’s an anthem to those who have experienced equal parts joy and frustration with their career, but also a reminder that persevering is the only way to push through and find that ‘happy place’, whatever that might mean for them.”

Having previously graced stages at festivals like Spilt Milk and NYE on the Hill, and being on the lineup for Splendour in the Grass (which, unfortunately, has been cancelled), they’ve already sold out their album launch parties in April and May. Excitedly, fans won’t be missing out as they’re gearing up for a huge UK/Europe tour before returning to Australia and New Zealand for a triumphant national tour in June (tickets here).

About the upcoming album ‘Caught In A Reverie’ Macrae shares, “We are so beyond stoked to finally be releasing our debut album, it’s been a long time coming and we are confident that people are going to take something from it. I would be lying if I said we weren’t nervous, however, as this is an introduction to a slightly different scope of our songwriting and where it will eventually take us. Some of the tracks may surprise some of our listeners but, alas, this is a journey for us as much as it is for our fans and it wouldn’t be much of an exciting one if we kept using the same equation.”
