Nopes have premiered the track ‘Pocket Square Motherfucker’, which is taken from the US noise punks’ forthcoming album “Djörk” that has been slated for release on January 29, 2021 via Magnetic Eye Records.
Nopes comment on ‘Pocket Square Motherfucker’: “We usually start our records with something a little more poppy and accessible, but wanted to start this one off with a song that feels like a brick to the head”, tells singer Alex Petralia. “The lyrics are based off my experience with entitled douchebags in San Francisco.”
Fast, scratchy and pissed off. The track is full of angular guitars and garish hooks played over head kicking drums as Petralia hurls his abuse. Its all over too soon and we are left waiting on the album.
